Foundation programs at IQ Consultancy

IQ Consultancy offers a 36 or 24 week foundation course for students willing to prepare to enter a university in St. Petersburg.

During the course students aquire Russian language skills and attain the level of language proficiency neccesary for both getting a TRKI -1 Certificate and passing a Russian language test at the target university, if required.

Along with Russian language classes we offer intensive preparation (300 academic hours minimum) in school subjects (biology, maths, etc) necessary to pass university entrance exams. Such a compilation of the program enables a student to enter almost any St. Petersburg technical, medical or some other university.

The lengh of the program depends on a student's Russian language competence, thus students with no prior experience of studying Russian are recommended to take a 36 week course.

Students are supposed to have 6 academic hours of classes daily.

The structure of the foundation course:

The foundation program comprises the following cultural activities which are included in tuition fees:

• a three hour familirization trip around St. Petersburg
• a four hour city tour with a lisenced guide
• a visit to one of the museums in St. Petersburg (the Hermitage, the Russian museum, etc) with a lisenced guide
• a boat trip along the Neva River
• a trip to one of the St. Petersburg environs (Peterhof, Viborg, Pushkin,Pavlovsk)
• a trip to the Russian village Shuvalovka (a Russian crafts workshop and a dinner in Russian style)
• a visit to one of the theatres of St. Petersburg
• a white- nights tour
