Types of Accommodation

1. Stay in a dormitory/ university hotel

Students can stay in a university dormitory in the city center . Hertzen State University's hall of residence for international students, for one. Students live in the two-room block for two persons, sharing a shower with a neighbour. Each room in a block is key-locked. Bed linen and maid service are provided by the dormitory. On every floor of the dormitory there are kitchens for common use, where students have an opportunity to cook. The standard price for a room in this university hotel amounts to 252 euro per week.

The hospitality and attention you will receive in a friendly family atmosphere will help you to adjust more effectively to your new linguistic and cultural environment. All members of host families are sociable, easy-going and sure to give a warm welcome to our students. We select and supervise our family homes carefully to ensure that our students are comfortable, well-fed and well looked after.

Choosing a home stay accommodation you are sure to benefit from the following:

• the best opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of Russian culture and modern life.
• everyday communication with family members, the best possible Russian language practice;
• any help of family members, tips and information about the environment;
• an opportunity to choose a half-board or a "bed and breakfast" options
• an opportunity of independent preparation of food, if you like
• comfortable accommodation in a single or, if booking with a friend, a shared furnished room with a telephone, internet access, cable TV. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with the family. Light laundry, towels and bed linen are provided once a week.
• an individual approach of IQ Consultancy to every student’s preferences (needs such as non-smoking/smoking, allergies, vegetarian food, with/without pets etc. are taken into account;
• home stays are located in the historical districts of the city and within easy travelling distance from IQ Consultancy.

Prices vary depending on whether you have a self-catering, B&B or half board accommodation.

3. Rented flats/ Flat Share:

IQ Consultancy can help you to book a room or a flat/apartment in the center of St. Petersburg. We cooperate with a number of St. Petersburg reputable real estate agencies and private landlords which ensure you a comfortable stay.

Every flat features a TV, a telephone, a large kitchen, a refrigerator and a washing machine, an entrance hall and a full bath. Buildings are equipped with security system. Catering is not included in the price of the rent and you will be responsible for preparing your own meals.

Shared flats offer an independent lifestyle at very reasonable prices. This is a popular option for young people and university students.

Prices vary depending on the type of a flat and whether you share it or not.

4. Hotel Accommodation:

We are able to book hotels of various categories (2* to 5*). We usually recommend a hotel located close to IQ Consultancy. The price of the room depends on the hotel you choose.

We recommend that requests for hotel accommodation be placed well in advance.
